Project summary
Ready to help meet the most pressing needs of rural Oregon? In this position with the Oregon Department of Energy you will boost energy resilience and sustainability in rural communities. You will assess and help improve the Community Renewable Energy Grant Program. Working on the Grid Resilience Grant Program, you'll do outreach to increase participation among rural utilities. You'll also work with community organizations to ensure equitable distributions of solar funding.
Opportunity description
Interested in spreading renewable energy throughout Oregon? Working with Oregon Department of Energy, you will develop equitable outreach strategies to help rural consumer owned utilities access grid resilience funds. You will build relationships in communities to bring solar power to low-income neighborhoods. You'll also analyze energy grant programs to inform future decisions. NOTE: The service year starts in Oregon on Sept. 4. The sooner you apply, the better your chances of participating!

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor's degree; U.S. citizen or permanent resident; 6 months applied community experience AND coursework, OR equivalent experience in 3 or more of these areas: planning or statistical analysis, economic theory, project management, community or economic development, environmental planning, geographic information systems, grant writing; Proficiency in computer use; Pass a check of the National Sexual Offender Public Registry, FBI check and criminal background check of state registries.
