Project summary

Promote healthy futures through gardening on weekly visits to children at schools and day care center and increase food security for our residents in Culebra while carrying out a Cine Siembra's and cooking workshops every month to provide an opportunity to cultivate a healthy relationship between harvesting and consuming nutritious food.

Opportunity description

3 positions to lead activities that offer the opportunity to work cooperatively in groups, learn about science and nutrition, and even create art and stories about gardening and gardens and hands-on experiences and workshops is to have a positive impact in their food choices, increase desire to adapt good nutritional habits, improve low-budget cooking skills, and incorporate what they harvest for an improved household food security, while maintaining our community gardens.

Requirements

Significant outdoors activities that require health to climb, walk, lift and a high school diploma preferred. 

Preferred qualifications

Experience in agro-ecology gardening methods, strong team work.
