Project summary

Members serve on professionally supervised crews and explore opportunities for careers in the outdoors, learn practical field skills, and develop confidence as emerging leaders in the field of conservation.  Members learn and train under the guidance of professional staff within Conservation Legacy while gaining career perspectives. Opportunity description

This position provides individuals opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants serve as part of a team and work, serve, and camp in the field at the location of the project(s). Supervision is provided by professional crew leaders. Crews generally spend 8 days in the field followed by 6 days off. The schedule may vary depending on the project need. There are 18 opportunities under this announcement.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements

Age between the ages of 18 and 30 w/maximum 35 for Veterans with DD-214. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Agree to be substance free.

Preferred qualifications

Interest in stewardship. Ability to work well with others. Other qualifications as outlined in detailed announcement.
