Project summary
Corps Members will engage young Americans in outreach and education around pollinators and invasive species in the state to encourage community members to become better stewards of the land.
Opportunity description
Corps Members will conduct monitoring for ~10-12 Noxious Weed Trust Fund (NWTF) grants with local Cooperative Weed Management Areas, create educational materials for landowners about early dedication and rapid response to noxious weeds, conduct landowner/county trainings on how to navigate the department’s mapping systems, build grant story maps and project maps for noxious weeds throughout the state, and investigate protocol/funding needs for drone program.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
High school diploma. Public speaking skills. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of survey software (i.e. Survey123), knowledge of design and editing software, basic writing., ability to interact with community members of all demographics. Understanding or willingness to learn how agriculture plays an important role in Montana.
